SOME CHARACTERISTICS OF GOD'S POWER

POWER PRESERVES

The Power of God keeps and preserves us on His holy Mountain.

POWER AS TRUTH AND WISDOM

Power is blessed Truth. This blessed Truth should be spread abroad, for Truth and Power make an end to all unholiness.

POWER DISCOVERED US

The Lord God Almighty has discovered us – that is, revealed Himself to us – by His prophets and servants.

POWER IS OVER ALL

The universal Power of God goes over all.

POWER IS ORDER

Power is the Law and Order of Life and of the Gospel.

This Power will order and keep down that which would be hasty or that which would be disobedient.

POWER IS LIFE, LOVE AND DOMINION

Power is Life, habitation and dwelling. This Power brings from all the barren mountains, which are death, to the beginning, which is life; Life and immortality are brought to Light in Friends.

So we should heed nothing but the Life and power of the Lord God.

Power is the Life that stands in God; He is Dominion.

POWER IS SAFETY

There is safety in the God of Love and Power. He keep us to Himself.

POWER TAKES AWAY THE OCCASION OF ALL WARS

The Lord God of Power takes away the occasion of all wars. We are to fight with spiritual weapons.

POWER WON’T TOLERATE SIN

The Power of God purges everything evil out of our hearts and makes room for Himself. But His Power may also be counted on to fight temptation, trouble and addiction.

POWER OF THE GOSPEL

The Power of God is the Gospel and the Gospel expels that which burdens the soul.

EVERYONE LIVES WITHIN THE GOD OF POWER

Fox believed that God lives within everyone and that it is possible to get in touch with this incredible Power within.

But he also believes that everyone may get inside the God of Power!

For Friends grow up in the Power, skip and leap in, and partake of Him. But the best may be, identifying with Christ the Lamb, living and reigning in the Love, the righteous Life and Power of God doing the Truth to all.

Dwell in the power is a phrase that Fox uses often. All we have to do is stand fast, stand still in that Power which brings peace; stand still in trouble and see the strength of the Lord.

Wait in the Light to receive the Power to become Children of God. Everyone should walk in the Power and Spirit of God who is over all, allow Him to have supremacy in our lives.

HOW WE SHOULD BEHAVE TOWARD THE POWER

Friends are not to quench the spirit nor abuse the Power, but be faithful and obedient to Him. We are not to add to, nor take from, but pay attention to the Power. We are to stir up others to Righteousness in the Power of God so that everyone may inherit this stable Power.

We are to rejoice, delight at the sound of the Power, sing His praises forever. But above all we must be careful not to be out of, or lose the Power of God.

Fox also believes that each of us has authority from God to know this Power that shall never be shaken nor changed. We should answer the witness of God in everyone through this authority. We may also understand the power and authority of darkness. But the greatest gift is the Power of an endless life, to live with God forever.
